{"id":101,"date":"2020-12-20T15:06:14","date_gmt":"2020-12-20T15:06:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fraser-clark.com\/food\/?p=101"},"modified":"2020-12-21T19:28:33","modified_gmt":"2020-12-21T19:28:33","slug":"pumpkin-tart","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fraser-clark.com\/food\/archives\/101","title":{"rendered":"Pumpkin Tart"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For the Tart<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>125g butter<\/li><li>160g sugar<\/li><li>3 eggs, beaten<\/li><li>140g self-raising flour<\/li><li>2 ml salt<\/li><li>400g grated, raw, pumpkin<\/li><li>5ml vanilla essence<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For the Sauce<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>125g butter<\/li><li>125ml cream or 170g evaporated milk<\/li><li>60ml sugar<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Cream butter and sugar until light<\/li><li>Add eggs little by little while beating<\/li><li>Add dry ingredients<\/li><li>Mix in pumpkin and vanilla<\/li><li>Pour into a buttered oven-proof dish<\/li><li>Bake for 45 minutes at 180\u00b0C<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Heat sauce ingredients together until almost boiling.  Pour over warm tart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This can be enjoyed as either a dessert or a side dish to a main course.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Excellent with a braai!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>South African pumpkin tart with a sweet sauce.
