James Martin<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(From <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jamesmartinchef.co.uk\/recipes\/smoked-watermelon-bbq-cola-cucumber-and-yuzu-courgettes\/\">https:\/\/www.jamesmartinchef.co.uk\/recipes\/smoked-watermelon-bbq-cola-cucumber-and-yuzu-courgettes\/<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Smoked Watermelon<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 slice watermelon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 tbsp tomato consomm\u00e9<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp sherry vinegar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Edible flowers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Yuzu Courgettes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 green courgette, cut out with a melon baller<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 yellow courgette, cut out with a melon baller<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>25g butter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp yuzu<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Few sprigs of thyme<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cola Cucumber<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 cucumber, peeled<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 can Coca-Cola<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Smoked Watermelon<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cut the watermelon in circles and place into a bowl covered in clingfilm.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Light a smoker and fill the bowl with smoke. Cover tightly and leave to one side for 30 minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mix the tomato consomm\u00e9 and vinegar together.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Place the smoked watermelon into bowls, spoon over the sauce and top with flowers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Yuzu courgettes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cook the courgettes in a little water and the thyme. Once softened, drain off the water and set the courgettes aside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Place the butter in the pan to melt and then return the courgettes to the pan with the yuzu. Warm through and serve.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cola cucumber<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Chop the cucumber into 3 pieces and place in a bowl. Cover in the cola and then pop in the fridge overnight.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Heat a BBQ until hot and the coals have turned white.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cut the cucumbers in halves lengthways and place onto the BBQ rack. Cook until charred, slice and serve.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To assemble the recipes into a Greek salad<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Place 1 slice of smoked watermelon in a bowl, top with crumbled feta, sliced black olives, oregano leaves and flowers. Spoon across a spoon of tomato consomm\u00e9 and finish with diced cola cucumber pieces.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Salads don&#8217;t need to be boring!
