{"id":113,"date":"2020-12-20T15:38:27","date_gmt":"2020-12-20T15:38:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fraser-clark.com\/food\/?p=113"},"modified":"2020-12-21T19:39:15","modified_gmt":"2020-12-21T19:39:15","slug":"crusty-white-bread","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fraser-clark.com\/food\/archives\/113","title":{"rendered":"Crusty White Bread"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>375g plain flour<\/li><li>1 tablespoon soft brown sugar<\/li><li>1 1\/2 teaspoons salt<\/li><li>265ml warm water<\/li><li>1 1\/2 tablespoons olive oil<\/li><li>1 1\/2 teaspoons dried yeast<\/li><li>1 egg + 1 tablespoon water<\/li><li>Pollenta &amp; sesame seeds<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Make dough with flour, sugar, salt, water, oil and yeast.  Do first rise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shape into two loaves.  Sprinkle pollenta on baking trays and put loaves on.  Brush with water.  Rise until doubled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oven to 190\u00b0C.  Mix egg &amp; water, brush over loaves.  Sprinkle with sesame seeds.  Make some 5mm cuts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Place tin of hot water in bottom of oven.  Bake until golden (25-30 mins).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Allow to cool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Place in oven for 5 minutes just before eating to make it very crusty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Crusty white bread.
