{"id":382,"date":"2021-01-01T16:08:59","date_gmt":"2021-01-01T16:08:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fraser-clark.com\/food\/?p=382"},"modified":"2022-01-20T13:13:14","modified_gmt":"2022-01-20T13:13:14","slug":"pear-gorgonzola-walnut-loaf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fraser-clark.com\/food\/archives\/382","title":{"rendered":"Pear, Gorgonzola &#038; Walnut Loaf"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><\/p><cite>Simon Rimmer, Sunday Brunch<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>3 eggs<\/li><li>250g self raising flour<\/li><li>100ml olive oil <\/li><li>100ml milk<\/li><li>250g chopped pears<\/li><li>150g chopped walnuts<\/li><li>125g crumbed gorgonzola for inside loaf<\/li><li>75g crumbed gorgonzola for top of loaf<\/li><li>25g pine nuts<\/li><li>25g chopped fresh thyme<\/li><li>1 teaspoon ground black pepper<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To serve<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>6 plum tomatoes<\/li><li>1 teaspoon salt<\/li><li>1 teaspoon sugar<\/li><li>100ml olive oil<\/li><li>1 teaspoon sherry vinegar<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Beat 3 eggs into 250g self raising flour along with 100ml olive oil and 100ml milk.<\/li><li>Add 250g chopped pears, 150g chopped walnuts, 125g crumbed gorgonzola, 25g pine nuts, 25g chopped fresh thyme and a teaspoon of ground black pepper.<\/li><li>Spoon into a greased and lined loaf tin, top with 75g extra gorgonzola.  Bake at 170C for 45 minutes.  Cool.<\/li><li>Mix 6 plum tomatoes, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon sugar, 100ml olive oil, 1 teaspoon sherry vinegar.  Warm 3-4 minutes, then cool.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Serve bread with the tomatoes piled on top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"
