Scones
									Ingredients
- 350g self raising flour (+ more for dusting)
 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
 - 1 teaspoon baking powder
 - 85g butter – cubed
 - 3 tablespoons caster sugar
 - 175ml milk
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 - squeeze of lemon juice
 - beaten egg for glaze
 - jam & clotted cream to serve
 
Method
- Preheat oven to 200°C (fan)
 - Mix & rub flour, butter, salt, baking powder together
 - Add & mix in sugar
 - Heat milk in microwave for 30 seconds then add vanilla extract and lemon juice
 - Make a well and add liquid
 - Roll out and fold 2 or 3 times
 - cut 4cm deep and bake with glaze for 10 minutes
